Dr Lauren Richardson is a Lecturer in the Department of International Relations, ANU. From 2018-2020 she was Director of Studies and Lecturer in the Asia-Pacific College of Diplomacy at the ANU and from 2020-2022, Director of the ANU Japan Institute. Prior to that Dr Richardson taught Northeast Asian Relations at the University of Edinburgh. Her research focuses on the role of non-state actors in shaping diplomatic interactions in Northeast Asia, particularly Japan-Korea relations.

Alexandra Smalley is a Master of Diplomacy student at the Australian National University. She has extensive international experience, having lived in Japan, Ukraine and Indonesia. Alexandra is the Media and Digital Production intern for the AIIA National Office.

Frederika Phibbs is currently pursuing a double degree in both International Relations and Political Science. Her interests lie in Feminist foreign policy and Middle eastern geopolitics. Frederika is the AIIA's Marketing and Communications Intern.

Jarrah Turner is an Assistant Editor at Australian Outlook and a Graduate of International Relations and German Language from Macquarie University.

Kenny Pham is in his 5th year of his Undergraduate International Relations and Commerce degree at the Australian National University. Kenny is currently a Public Engagement Intern at The Australian Institute of International Affairs.

Samuel Wassmann is a Master of Political Science student at the Australian National University and Assistant Editor at Australian Outlook. His 2022 honours thesis at the University of Queensland examined entanglement between the Torres Strait Treaty and political clout in the borderland of South Fly, Papua New Guinea.
