Canberra German Week presents our inaugural annual cultural reception launch event supported by the Embassies of Austria, Germany, and Switzerland in conjunction with the Australia-Germany Parliamentary Friendship Group.
Hosted by the Australian Institute of International Affairs, this event is the highlight of the German Week calendar. 2024 marks an incredible milestone - 35 years since the Fall of the Berlin Wall, and we therefore invite you to celebrate this significant historical event whilst recognising the strong cultural and linguistic ties Australia has with the German-speaking countries of Europe.
At this exclusive reception connect with cultural and political leaders, education partners, and members of the German-speaking business community, and enjoy stunning cultural performances from the National Opera, Austrian Harmonie Choir and the Canberra Symphony Orchestra. We are also delighted to announce that senior representatives of the Austrian, German and Swiss missions in Canberra will be presenting.
